For the more adventurous traveller seeking a truly authentic bush-experience in the Reserve, we also offer five exclusive campsites (with a maximum of eight guests per campsite). Each site is located to offer privacy and has shade throughout the year.
The campsites are completely self-catering, guests must please bring their own food, drinks and camping equipment. Each campsite has its own flush toilet, “donkey boiler” heated outdoor shower, braai area with grid, dustbin and a washbasin. Firewood is available to purchase at reception.
Check-in time is from 12h00 until 18h00, and check-out time is 10h00.
Please note that baboons do pass through the campsites and as such, food and drink items should be well secured. It is advised that no food is stored within the tents.

The staff at reception were just so so friendly and helpful. we had to have our covid tests printed and they sorted for us, and also had a connection at the labs, as one of our tests hadn’t come through, and they called them, after hours to assist us. They really went out of the way to help us.
The campsite was clean and rustic. lovely stopover if you need to stay in Gaborone.

We spent a full day driving all of the roads, seeing very few animals (yes, including birds) but what bothered us the most was that the roads were so terrible… read more that even in our Landrover it was bad. Even roads not indicated as 4×4 roads exclusively were effectively only good for 4×4, and it was a nice dry day. So bushy you cannot see an impala if it’s 3 meters far… And we have driven all over Botswana so we can compare! We only saw 7 species of mammals and to drive yourself you need to buy a year permit of 700 pula. Seeing the cheetahs and reptiles costs extra.

We had a lovely visit (with a vehicle to ourselves) accompanied by our lady game ranger. We didn’t see as much as we had hoped but not for want… read more of trying. Plenty of muti-varieties of deer, wart hogs, baboons, vultures, etc. It was lovely to get out in the African bush again, to hear the sounds – you are never sure what’s around the next corner! Thank you for a great visit.
Very good value too. Your hotel will order a car for you and the driver will either wait or come back to collect you.

My colleagues who have been to Botswana for work told me I must go there afterwork one day. It was okay but just okay. The only animals we… read more saw were giraffes. I was told there was a watering hole near the restaurant and the animals came to it at sunset. This is NOT true. The guide (Pinot) seemed fairly knowledgeable but there was just nothing to see. which for all the animals that Pinot said that they had on property seems VERY unusual

We arranged for an afternoon two hour game drive. The disappointing aspect was the lack of animals that we were unable to see. It was afternoon, it was… read more hot and they dont turn up on order! That said, we saw different types of antelope and warthog families with really cute babies. The trip included what the driver referred to as an ‘African massage’. Basically the transportation and the terrain means it is a very shaky ride. There was only our group of three on the drive so we had plenty of room and good interaction with the guide. He really tried to find some animals for us to see.
We booked a taxi from the hotel to take us there and arranged a time for them to pick us up. It only took about half an hour from the hotel each way so not much wasted time. Overall it was good trip, lots of flora and fresh air and very inexpensive.
